Seafarer Standards Advisers

Are you passionate about UK Seafaring? Are you looking to develop new skills and take on new challenges?

If so, we are looking for individuals who hold either an unlimited UK Chief Mate’s or Second Engineer’s CoC who can provide technical support, so we can help develop the infrastructure to allow UK cadet numbers to grow and deliver the next generation of UK seafarers to meet the needs of a global industry.

In addition, we are building the MCA training brand and to do this we need maintain our unique selling point, quality. With your help we will look to do this with the development of new training initiatives and the ongoing monitoring of existing MCA approved schemes around the globe.

We are looking for two motivated individuals that have great interpersonal skills that will enable you to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to drive forward policy change in line with Government’s Maritime Strategy.

You will be someone keen to learn new skills and take on new challenges. We would love to attract someone who wants to work as part of team to drive forward positive change. Your ambition and drive will allow you future opportunities to progress within the Civil Service, the wider MCA or within the wider Maritime sector.
