The NAFC Marine Centre is seeking a suitably qualified person to join its team of nautical lecturers. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing a variety of training courses, including HNC and HND Nautical Science courses for officer cadets. This may include both theoretical and practical training, including the use of a ship-bridge simulator.
Applicants should have a minimum of a UK Chief Officer’s Certificate of Competency (II/2), relevant seagoing experience, and knowledge of the legislation affecting merchant ships.
The salary will be between £27,000 and £39,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme) or undergo a PVG Scheme Update.
