Salary: PS28   $80,582 (=US$ Equivalent)

The Post holder is responsible for ensuring the ongoing provision of a reliable, economically viable and ecologically sound Aids to Navigation service for both local and International mariners, within the territorial waters of Bermuda. Post holder also assists with berthing/unberthing operations in Dockyard and the repair and maintenance of the section’s vessels, buoys and beacons. Post has the authority to make decisions and take actions in matters relating to the Aids to Navigation section, in regards to day to day operations, maintenance of vessels and navigational aids, and management of staff and training.

The post-holder has a minimum of three (3) years relevant post qualification experience in the marine field. The post-holder must possess an International Marine Certificate such as an officer of the Watch Certificate (OOW) or equivalent. Local Class ‘C’ Pilot’s Licence.  IALA Level 1 Aids to Navigation for Manager’s certificate or equivalent. Certificate in Supervisory Management.
