Job Title: Manager
Salary: £53,500 FTE
Hours of work: 3-days a week / part-time
We are working in partnership with The Maritime Charities Group, an organisation that fosters collaboration across the maritime charity sector to achieve the greatest impact for seafarers and their families. It does this by sharing information, commissioning research, supporting the education and welfare of seafarers and their families and by the promotion of best practice within the maritime charity sector.
The charity is now seeking to appoint an experienced Manager to assist the Chairman and group members in facilitating research and development activities for the maritime welfare sector. The post holder will also coordinate all MCG members’ meetings and activities, as well as act as an ambassador for the MCG within the maritime and ex Service welfare sectors and with the wider Third Sector. Reporting directly to the Chairman, you will support the charity in achieving its vision and mission.
The successful individual will have strong experience in the following:
• Building and maintaining constructive partnerships and effective relationships with senior external stakeholders
• Developing and delivering strategy
• Research Coordination, as well as monitoring and evaluation
• Excellent written and verbal communications at all levels and forms, both internally and externally
• Administration and budgeting
We are seeking a confident communicator, who is experienced in liaising with stakeholders and external organisations, who has strong organisational skills, and an ability to manage conflicting priorities.
