Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Safety Training

£33,797 – £44,046 per annum
37 hours per week

As part of the School of the Warsash School of Maritime Science and Engineering, Safety Training offers commercial education, training and consultancy services to the international maritime industry across a variety of academic and professional disciplines.
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to support the development and delivery of the short course maritime, fire and offshore portfolio, which is aimed at merchant navy officers, professional yachtsmen and offshore workers.
A professional seafarers or offshore background with relevant professional STCW certificate or equivalent HSE/OPITO qualifications is essential and must be supported by extensive first hand, recent experience of working within the maritime or offshore industry is essential.
You will have teaching skills, and preferably hold a recognised teaching qualification and Life Support skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for student learning are essential. Some unsocial hours and UK/international travel may occasionally be required.
