Faststream are currently working with an exclusive management company based in the Netherlands
The most important objectives are a safe and efficient operation. To support this objective would be responsible for the operational performance, maintenance and crewing and the operating expenses of the tanker fleet. At all times the fleet needs to meet the requirements set-out by flag states, port state control, class societies, clients and vetting bodies. Furthermore, you would advise on investment requirements for modifications. On day-to-day matters you maintain flawless communication with the Operations Department and shipboard staff. You ensure that all offices work in accordance with customer requirements, the Quality Management System, vessel policies and HSE standards.
To excel in this function you should have a Higher Nautical Education or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Maritime related education.
A minimum of 2 years seagoing experience in the rank of a Chief Engineer on a tanker;
Knowledge of all relevant aspects of technical operations of tankers;
A minimum of 2 years working experience in the office of a ship owning or management company;
Experience as a Tech-, or Fleet-Manager would be a plus, all required training will be provided;
Willingness to travel regularly; You possess excellent knowledge of (international) regulations and procedures related to the management of tankers. In addition, excellent technical skills, good commercial awareness and understanding and the ability to manage multiple and multidisciplinary projects are required. You have excellent communication and presentation skills in English both verbally and in writing.
