Associated Petroleum Terminals (Immingham) Limited, is a joint venture operating marine import and export facilities on behalf of its shareholders Phillips 66 Limited and Total Lindsey Oil Refinery Limited and has an opportunity for an experienced Master Mariner seeking a new shore-based career.
We are a busy and successful company, controlling ship to shore unloading/loading facilities for petroleum products, including LPG, on behalf of our shareholder’s local oil refineries.
As part of the APT Marine Department you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our nine berth / three jetty facilities, located on the River Humber, handling up to 20 million tonnes of oil and 2,000 vessels per annum, ranging from barges to VLCC’s.
Key responsibilities will include safe and effective control, from the shore, of all tanker traffic at the facilities. This will include berthing management, ship / shore interface and other associated duties.
The facilities operate 365 days a year, 24 hours per day. The successful candidate will be part of a team of full time Berthing Masters and be expected to work a shift system including tidal shifts. We are looking for individuals with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, have good IT skills and be an effective communicator.
Ideally the successful candidate should hold a STCW II/2 (Masters Unlimited) Certificate of Competency, although a STCW II/2 (Chief Mate Unlimited) Certificate of Competency with relevant tanker experience would also be considered. All candidates must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
