SMIT International (Scotland) Limited operates workboats employed to assist the MOD with various aspects of marine training, including Search and Rescue Helicopters, Target Towing and Aircrew Marine Survival Training.

We are currently recruiting for an:

ENGINEER - based in Holyhead

The minimum qualification required for this post is Marine Engine Operator’s Licence (MEOL).  The work pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening working.  Applicants must live within daily commutable distance of the base.

Due to the nature of the work the posts are subject to MOD Security Clearance and applicants will need to have been resident in the UK for at least three years.  Applicants are required to hold a full and valid driving licence and recent commercial seagoing experience is preferred.  Applicants should also hold an ENG1 or be able to pass an ENG1 medical.

Closing date for applications is Friday 25th May.  Interviews will be held during week commencing 4th June 2018.
