The role…

The role will involve giving technical advice and consultancy primarily on tanker operations involving chemicals, vegetable oils, crude oil and petroleum products. Investigations typically require attendance at the site of incidents worldwide, providing onsite incident management and investigative services, working with in-house chemist and metallurgical consultants, and the preparation of reports. It may also include the provision of expert evidence at arbitration or court.

The person…

Candidates must be able to display excellent problem solving skills (both practical and theoretical), the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to a non-scientific client base and be willing and available to travel worldwide at short notice.

The successful candidates will have a Masters (Class 1) certificate of competency have both petroleum and chemical tanker experience with emphasis on the latter and preferably experience in the survey and/or cargo inspection industries.
