The role…

To provide turbocharger services to customers of electric power and oil and gas application engines. Services to be performed at the Middle East workshop in Dubai, as well as onboard vessels, oil rigs, platforms, and land based power plants.

The position performs 'expert' functions in turbocharger servicing, maintenance, overhauling, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of the brand turbochargers.

*Safely remove and reinstall complete turbochargers and cartridges from engines using safe blocking and lifting techniques.
*Disassembles, cleans, inspects, measures and determines to condition of major components using appropriate OEM tooling to technical specifications and standard overhauling and rebuilding guidelines.
*Understands the turbocharger technical specifications and how to identify key components
*Able to supervise turbocharger service technicians,
*Prepares detailed workshop and service reports.
*Provides 'expert' turbocharger product knowledge to our customers and end users of the safe handling, operation, and maintenance of the turbochargers in accordance to OEM published guidelines. This includes having a thorough understanding of OEM standard TBO's, maintenance intervals, standard parts lists and work routines.
*Has the capability to troubleshoot turbocharger related technical issues, and to assist the service engineer to troubleshoot engine performance issues where the turbocharger could be a contributing factor. This support is to be provided either on board the vessel or at the plant location.
*Supports the marketing of our turbocharger servicing capabilities by making customers not only aware of our service capability, but also to gain the trust of our customers and to convince them to only use us for service.
*Knows how to carry out the maintenance, overhauling, repair and upgrading jobs with no direct supervision. Knows how to go about a job in the most practical and efficient method. Understands the financial and commercial offer with each service job and works to ensure that they job is completed on time and within budget.
*Performs 'expert' service, maintenance, overhauling, repair and upgrading services on the turbochargers in the Dubai workshop as well as onboard vessels, oil rigs, platforms, offshore installations and power plants.
*Responsibility for maintaining the scope of the Dubai turbocharger parts and service exchange cartridge inventory.
*Maintaining all turbocharger servicing tooling and equipment is in good, safe, and usable conditions with valid calibration certificates at all times.
*Reports any commercial or potentially legal issues or concerns to management.
*Needs to be professional in terms of behavior, communications, attitude and appearance. Good command of English language.

The person…

*The position typically requires a technical diploma, university graduate, marine engineer certification, or equivalent experience in the field of servicing of marine and or land based power plant medium speed diesel engine turbochargers.
*Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
*OEM factory service certification is also a requirement.
*Personal computer skills and familiarity with standard software packages is required.

The reward…

*Basic Salary will range from 8,700 p.m. AED - 15,000 p.m. AED depending on experience.
*Housing Allowance will range from 4,000 p.m. AED to 6,000 p.m. AED depending on experience.
*Transportation Allowance will range from 1,200 p.m. AED to 1,700 p.m. AED depending on experience.
*Overtime rates are in addition to the above.
