Project Consultant- Maritime Software

My client is experiencing good business growth and increasing demand for their products and services. Their office in Germany - Hamburg is seeking highly motivated and well-qualified candidates to join the team as Project Consultant.

The role…

Domain consultant or project manager for Planned Maintenance and Safety related modules with the focus on:
-Advice and map customer operation processes for the system.
-Suggest industry best practices to customers.
-Responsible for project workshop deliverables.
-Provides functional training to customer.
-Involved in data migration.
-Act as main resource and advisor to other consultant in relation to the responsible product for knowledge transfer and product best practices.
-To provide feedback to the product management team based on discussion from customers.
-Suggests areas for product improvement along with possible solutions.
-Involve in project support during project life cycle.
-Provide Pre-sales support to the sales team.
-Propose technical solutions and implementation cost estimates.
-Conduct compliance workshop and software demonstration.
-Act as a domain consultant and subject-Matter-Expert (SME) to influence customers and be part of the tender team who will look at the technical compliance.

The person…

-Degree in Marine Nautical science and/or Marine Engineering.
-Minimum 3 - 4 years relevant working experience in marine as a seafarer and/or equivalent within a maritime software or experience in maritime industry, preferably as Navigation Officer, Deck Officer, 1st/ 2nd Class Marine Engineer or Safety Superintendent.
-Experience in managing and roll out PMS or Safety related systems (e.g. AMOS, ShipNet and etc) within maritime operations is an advantage.
-Experience in project management, demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects/assignments including work prioritization, resource coordination and planning.
-Strong appreciation of effective Business Processes Management using software solutions in maritime operations.
-Good communication and presentation skills in English, written and verbally.
-Meticulous and analytical in terms of customer needs towards product and market orientation.
-Practical and / or Technical knowledge of maritime software is an added advantage.
-A team player with the ability to influence customers and gain respect with knowledge, passion and strong execution capabilities.
-High energy, self-starter, results oriented and possess strong ownership for projects.
-Possess excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate and manage relationship at all levels of the organization and the customers.
-Proven customer relationship skills, strong customers focus, demonstrates excellent communication skills and is adept at customer management with at least 2 - 3 years' experience in customer service or system support field.
-Hands on knowledge with database knowledge (MS Access, Oracle and/or MS SQL Server) are added advantages.
-Ability to travel extensively globally within short notice.

Position is open to Residences residing in Germany - Hamburg.

The successful candidate will be part of the Service & Support Business Unit and report to the Vice
President - Service and Support.
