Engineering Instructor - Marine EGCS
Location: Netherlands

Our client is currently looking for high quality maritime professionals, with particular experience in managing and working with EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems). Applicants must possess a high degree of self-motivation.


As an Engineering Instructor for the EGCS courses, your key responsibilities/duties will include:

*The Engineering Instructor for EGCS will be responsible for the management and lead delivery of the EGCS course
*Ship / office / factory visits will be required as part of the instructor's familiarization
*Continued development of training courses for staff working with EGCS
*Delivering training to Engineer Officers and other ship-board staff as required. This will include existing training courses in addition to the primary role of EGCS training
*Performing assessments of Engineer Officers and other ship-board staff
*Developing existing staff knowledge of EGCS practices
*Keeping up-to-date with current regulatory requirements / practices and technology.
*Working to deliver weekend training currently once per month
*Assisting and delivering Environmental training


The preferred candidate will have:

*STCW III/2 Management level Certificate of Competency (COC) or equivalent qualification
*Experience with Marine Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems and other environmental compliance processes
*Cruise ship experience is desirable but not essential
*Proven organizational and reporting capability
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
*Teaching/instructing experience is desirable
