Our client are a world leader in their field and due to expansion they are actively seeking an Assistant Technical Superintendent to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a 2nd engineer who is looking for their first shore based role.

This will be a hands on role supporting the Port Engineer but also supporting the Technical Superintendent with managerial duties.

Some key responsibilities will include

Key Responsibilities

* Ensuring the full technical readiness of all the vessels operated within the port

* Technical Management and assisting the incumbent Shore Engineer with the hands on maintenance of six Line boats operated in the port.

* Assist the Superintendent Engineer as directed in the control of technical budget for the maintenance and dry dockings, including monitoring of and control of the costs of repairs and maintenance.

* Assist the Superintendent Engineer as directed in the preparation, monitoring and control of repair and maintenance budgets for the fleet including records of spare part, fuel and lube oil usage.

* Assist the Superintendent Engineer as directed in the management, planning and coordination of maintenance, regular service periods, dry-docks and upgrades through the designated service contractors / vessel crew as appropriate.

To be considered for this position you would have sailed up to at least 2nd Engineer and will be prepared to provide a "hands on" guidance for engineering and technical resource in a team building manner and to provide instruction and solution building with sub contracted engineers and vessels staff.
