I am working with a family owned company that provides a range of services to the maritime transport. The company has been established for over 75 years and continuing to go from strength to strength. The company is now seeking a Junior Cargo Superintendent to join the team.

In this role, you will draft plans for efficient and safe loading of the goods aboard the ships. You are also present when loading ships between Antwerp / ARA range and North Africa. You are the link between the terminal and the ship.

For the role you will be required to do the following:

* Day to day follow up of ships and chartered tonnages
* Contact with agents / terminals / ship management / suppliers / crew / surveyors.
* Layout of charter parties, voyage instructions
* Order bunkers, management of lashing materials
* Tracking structured administration per voyage
* Formatting and checking invoices
* Data management/overview operational, administrative and financial
* Follow-up damage claims

The ideal candidate will have either a maritime diploma or sailed to a minimum 3rd Officer you will be able to speak both English and French conversational as a minimum. The role will require flexibility as you will be required to travel and also work past your times of work, you will be able to prioritise your work and have a hands on approach.
