Our client are part of one of the largest shipping and maritime organisations globally and are also seen as an employer of choice.

Due to re-organisation they are actively seeking an Operations Supervisor to join their team.


In this role you will be responsible for:

* To manage the day to day safe operation and maintenance of the Offshore Terminal and its vessels. The role is responsible for assigned performance metrics and reports including budget, operating costs, reliability, maintenance and planning.

* Maximise the operational efficiency and effectiveness of marine operations and equipment in compliance with classification Society, State Codes and regulations as well as the operating manual and Harmonised Management System with particular emphasis on Health, Safety and Environment.

* Maintain accurate records of business transacted, including number of operations and crew manning and provide relevant reports and/or records on operational matters as required.

* To co-ordinate training and development support and provide regulatory expertise ensuring that marine personnel meet company and national requirements with respect to certification and training, including the use of marine crew appraisal systems.

* Drive engagement as a leaver for high performance and culture in the operation including delivering Employee Engagement Survey on an annual basis and ensure feedback of results and actions are given in a timely manner.

* Support the Port Manager in collective bargaining negotiations with Trade Union representatives in the respective port.

Qualifications

* Professional Deck (Class II/2) or equivalent Engineering qualification.
* Small ship/supply boat Master experience desirable
* Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry desirable.
* Shore commercial / managerial experience desirable.
* Knowledge of Single point mooring/marine terminal operations desirable.
* Knowledge of surface supply diving/dive ship support advantageous.
* Previous experience as Superintendent working with a small team advantageous
