Warsash Maritime Academy offers maritime education, training and consultancy to the marine industry across a variety of academic and professional disciplines. You will work across sites in Southampton and Warsash.

The Academy is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Marine Engineer to join the marine engineering section and be part of a dynamic engineering team delivering professional and academic Marine Engineering subject areas to officer cadets and senior students up to STCW Class I Engineer level.

Applicants for the full-time Engineering position must possess at least a UK MCA Second Engineer Steam and/or Motor Certificate of Competency or equivalent Certificate of Competency issued by another ‘White List’ administration.  A good knowledge and understanding of modern large merchant vessel propulsion and auxiliary plant is essential. Experience of marine engineering systems used in the superyacht sector would also be an advantage.

Applications for this Lecturer post are encouraged from individuals with suitable professional and academic qualifications to degree level or equivalent in the relevant area.  An academic background with teaching experience is desirable but not essential as the successful applicant will be supported in completing a Post Graduate teaching qualification.
