The Manager, Marine HR has overall responsibility from a strategic perspective but also for ensuring the effective running of all aspects of Marine HR for the Gas Fleet including

* Marine HR operations
* Recruitment of sea staff at all levels
* Training of new and existing sea staff and
* The efficient running of our training centre.

In summary, this will include but will not be limited to the following key responsibilities:

*Accountability for the day-to-day operations from a marine HR perspective;
*Responsibility for devising and overseeing implementation of a recruitment strategy for sea staff;
*Responsibility for devising and overseeing implementation of a strategy for training and development of sea staff;
*Overall responsibility for the management of accredited competency management system;
*Realising the potential of our training centres and ensuring smooth and efficient running of the same;
*Interfacing with manning offices and approved agencies;
*Ensuring legislation/regulation monitoring and compliance within the marine HR team;
*Internal compliance with existing policies, developing and implementing new policies;
*Structuring the team and resources in an effective manner so as to ensure all key aspects of marine HR are proactively addressed.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

*Previous experience in a senior Marine HR shore position
*Seafaring background in a senior rank strongly preferred
*Strong people management, organisation and leadership skills
*Understanding of manning functions within the organization
*Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner
*Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
*Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a changing environment
*Knowledge of marine training and certification legislation and requirements
*Familiar with industry regulations
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
