You will:

*Perform assessments, undertake technical project management and provide specialist advice for service delivery on budget, on time and to contractual requirements.
*Review and approve test plans and witness the testing as applicable, coordinating relevant technical disciplines to complete the approval process
*Present appraisal conclusions with internal and external clients and suggest/influence alternative solutions where appropriate.
*Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
*Mentor and coach other employees, as appropriate, and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.
*Support and participate in the development of future legislation - such as IMO and IACS - to enhance safety and environmental protection relating to BWM.
*Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems.
*Report all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and escalate any health and safety concerns

Essential qualifications:

*Minimum Bachelor's degree within a relevant field of Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Biology or similar. Alternatively a qualification as a certified ship's engineering officer with relevant sea-going experience.
*Experience in the approvals and/or installation of BWTS or experience of operating BWTS on board ships.
*Membership of any appropriate professional institutions
*Working towards or achieving charted or incorporated engineering status.
*To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems.
*Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.
*Experience in system engineering and/or environmental engineering (desirable)
*Knowledge on regulatory affairs/approval of BWTS such as IMO/USCG (desirable)
*Basic knowledge in Marine biology and Ecotoxicology relating to BWM (desirable)

Thriving on knowledge, they are committed to individual development and knowledge sharing, particularly in respect of new technologies.
